First post. How exciting! So I figure you need a bit of an introduction to the point of this blog. Winston Churchill once said, "If you're not liberal when you're young, you have no heart. If you're not conservative when you're older, you have no brain." Well no offense to Sir Winston but I think that is a load of crap. The purpose here is to learn how to be young and use both heart and brain. Many people tend to pick one issue that they care a lot about whether it be abortion, stem-cell research, gay marriage or war and stick with the political party that follows that one belief. The truth is that every issue, every politician, and every person has views that cover both parties and FYI that's OK. I would even go as far to say that it is a good thing. So before you shout from the rooftops that you are Democrat or Republican, take some time and care about the rest of the issues going on in the world before you pick a side. One more thing, it is totally acceptable to be liberal and have some conservative views or be conservative and have some liberal views.
